This journal is sorted into Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and then afterwards (PRINTS!!)
Let's get started!:
Friday
I arrived at the convention center to set up around 8:30 am. I shared my table with shenshuan so you'll see some of their art in pics throughout the journal. Some pics while setting up:
(I later dropped prices and changed my deal to Buy 2 Get 1 Free, etc.)
The hall opened at 10 am. I was really nervous haha ;; I kept myself reassured that if no one bought anything, it would be okay, because it was only Friday and there was also Saturday and Sunday left. So I tried not to stress if people didn't buy my stuff ~
Some cosplayers!!:
And some pictures of the hall:
(and a picture of me)
Only 3 people bought stuff from me on Friday. I was a bit sad about that, but at least I was able to make a little money! Looked forward to the next day.
Saturday
The big day! It was crowded, man. Saturdays are awesome. Some of my friends came to visit me and several people who watch me on dA came to meet me. Thank you guys!!! You guys are awesome, omg. neobirdy came by and gave me a drawing of my OC Yuris (see last section). Thank you so much!! You didn't have to but omg your drawings are so lovely *melts. Sorry if I was being really awkward!! I was just really nervous, ack
Here's a picture of our table when it was 100% set up (although it did change a bit throughout the con haha)
You can obviously tell which side I sat on heh
I stopped a lot of cosplayers for pictures!
And many more but I don't really want to flood this entire journal with pics hahaha.
A LOT of people stopped by my table on Saturday. All my doubts about breaking even totally went away. My most popular prints were these prints:
Thank god I reprinted some of the Kiki ones, seriously, so many people bought that one. I was surprised, since it was older art (I drew it when I was 14!). I guess people like the classics! Gotta draw more Ghibli stuff over the next year.
Sunday
Sunday is still the weekend! But not as crowded as Saturday is. It was still fun though, although it felt so short! The hall was only open from 10 am - 4 pm. (Friday and Saturday, the hall was open from 10 am - 6 pm)
I forgot my nice camera at home, so I took pictures with my phone.
A random picture I took of my stand to text to a friend of mine but I'll post it here.
(the "last one!!" ones were gone by 4 pm)
Here's a headshot sketch commission I did for someone! I did like 4 others but I forgot to take pictures of them, damn.
Yukino from Fairy Tail. I don't watch/read Fairy Tail but my god I loved her character design. She was so fun to draw hehe
JeroAid dropped by my table and gave me an adorable little fanart of my OC Aris (see next section)!! Thank you so much! Your Kiki cosplay was SO ADORABLE I wanted to give you a hug hehe. Thanks for commissioning me by the way, your OCs were cute!
My friend who wasn't able to attend Sakura-Con this year asked me to buy some of yuumei's prints because she's a HUGE fan of hers. yuumei was so nice!! She signed all of them. I later bought some of her prints for myself (see next section) but here's a pic of the ones I bought in my friend's place.
AND THEN 4 PM ARRIVED AND THE HALL CLOSED. But there's more!
~*sugoi*~ section
you better bet this section is pretty damn sugoi ok
FREE SWAG I GOT:
I picked up a lot of business cards when I took breaks to walk around AA. And so many free anime posters/postcards from animation companies... Thank you Aniplex and Funimation.
After 4 pm, everyone started taking their stuff and displays down. Some people came to ask if I wanted to trade prints with them, and I ran around doing the same! This part was so fun for me hahah. I was sweating afterwards but was really happy with all the people I was able to trade with. Hnnng.
I wanted to trade with Kamaniki but she had taken down her display and art so fast that there was no chance. Haha.
Here are pictures of all the prints I got through trading with fellow AA artists!:
(excluding neobirdy's drawing in the bottom left and yuumei's prints, because I bought them from her)
Aaand here are some close-up pictures.
These are the artists I traded with -
Thank you so much everyone!! I was so happy you guys actually wanted to trade with me *melts into a pool of happy tears
And then here are the drawings neobirdy and JeroAid did for me. They drew my OCs Yuris and Aris! Thank you so much!
And AA? It was my first experience, and it was so much fun! I might not have been cosplaying, attending panels, or walking around a whole bunch, but I can really say that doing AA was such an awesome experience. So many people were nice and stopped by to look at my art, compliment it, buy it and ask me to sign their art. I was really flattered when someone asked me to do that, haha ///// So many of my business cards were picked up by people too!
I'm glad that my first AA was at Sakura-Con. If I get the chance, I'm definitely doing it again next year!!

JEEZ THIS WAS A LONG JOURNAL. I think it took me like an hour or so to write this and put all the pictures in it //
Thanks for reading!
